DIM ORIGINES expands with the arrival of a new laboratory, LGPM: Laboratoire de Génie des (bio)Procédés et Matérieux.

The laboratory works in two closely related fields of research: Process Engineering/Bioprocessing and Materials. Modeling, simulation, and experimentation are the common pillars of the various research topics studied.

This complementarity makes it possible to start from an understanding of microscopic phenomena and move on to the simulation, optimization, and intensification of transformation and manufacturing processes. Scale change and multiscale approaches are therefore often at the core of LGPM’s activities and are the preferred routes for moving from academic studies to industrial applications.
